Designing for agility, Keilhauer debuts four new product families at NeoCon

June 6, 2025 (Chicago) – Keilhauer is proud to unveil four new product families at NeoCon 2025. As the need for multi-functional workspaces grows, Agyl, Unifi, Weve and Fyord offer intentional, beautiful and adaptable solutions that maximize the efficiency of any space to meet the changing needs of the day. Austrian design studio EOOS designed Agyl, Unifi and Weve, while Fyord is the first collection for Keilhauer from Dutch designer Thijs Smeets.

“We’re seeing a moment in interior design where there’s a real appetite for flexible, responsive work environments,” says Mike Keilhauer, CEO. “These new collections are designed to meet that moment through adaptable, intuitive features designed to bring both beauty and performance to a workspace.”

Agyl is a lounge chair with an adjustable tablet that blends casual comfort with practical mobility. Agyl’s enveloping shape and relaxed upholstery bring the comfort of a favorite armchair to the modern office. The upright seat and optional tablet with a proprietary pivot mechanism bring productivity within reach to both left- and right-handed users. A subtle integrated handle and casters allow Agyl to move freely throughout a space, bringing a cozy spot of focus wherever it’s needed.

“Agyl is a new place of concentration born from the desire for informal softness and versatility,” says designers EOOS. “Agyl was designed to bridge the comfort of home with the productivity of the office. The upright seat supports focused work while the relaxed upholstery invites users to settle in. The result is a warm alternative to traditional office seating that balances functional mobility with inviting support.”

Unifi is a dynamic seating family designed to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced workspaces. Featuring a lounge chair and side chair, Unifi offers flexible comfort with built-in casters, an integrated handle for effortless mobility and a modular design that transitions easily from individual seating to large group meetings to additional seating tucked off to the side.

With its midcentury-inspired design, soft upholstered seat and industrial metal frame, Unifi makes every space feel intentional, flexible and undeniably stylish. “The idea of Unifi is the duality of classical upholstery and technical mobility, of ordered rows and free arrangement,” says EOOS. Unifi models can be easily grouped together to create the appearance of a continuous bench, an ideal solution for a space that frequently shifts from individual work to communal gatherings.

Unifi’s soft seat is supported by a durable, upholstered shell, and an optional tablet adds a functional work surface without sacrificing style. The side chair’s fixed tablet is available in left- or right-hand configurations, while the lounge chair’s rotating tablet can be positioned on either side.

Weve is an innovative, lightweight and flexible mesh conference chair designed to move with the flow of a modern office. Weve is available in two models, a classic conference chair and an innovative nesting model, both crafted to support agile work environments without compromising on comfort or style.

Featuring breathable mesh and an intuitive reclining mechanism, Weve delivers comfort that works. Reflecting on the nesting model, EOOS says “an unconventional movement makes nesting possible without sacrificing lightness and simplicity.” The nesting model introduces a proprietary mechanism, engineered by Keilhauer, that allows the entire chair structure to tilt forward for seamless nesting and efficient storage. The mechanism’s sleek design means there are no visible springs or bulky levers to maintain a sophisticated and minimal conference-room aesthetic. With the ability to be tucked away neatly, Weve ensures that extra seating is always on hand without cluttering a space.

Designed with versatility in mind, Weve offers two distinct bases: a traditional five-star caster base for the conference model and an aluminum base with casters for the nesting model.

Fyord is an elegant seating solution that combines luxurious comfort with versatile modularity.
Designed by Thijs Smeets in his first collection for Keilhauer, Fyord features a to-the-floor form, generous seat depth, and elegantly tapered lines that act as an invitation to sink back, settle in, and stay for a while. Fjord’s modular elements support thoughtful configurations tailored to the evolving needs of any individual space.

“With Fyord, my aim was to create a modular piece that feels solid and grounded, yet soft,
welcoming and intuitively ergonomic,” says Thijs Smeets. Inspired by the calming flow of a waterfall, Fyord’s enveloping backrest creates a sense of serenity while the contrast between its defined outer form and cushioned interior adds both visual structure and tactile comfort. The seating is crafted using soft Italian foam and a unique construction of layered foam and inner coils to offer a luxurious, cloud-like seating experience.

Fyord’s legless, grounded base visually anchors the piece to the floor. The balance of soft organic shapes and a full-body construction combine to create both harmony and presence.

In addition to the four new product families, Keilhauer is also introducing three side chairs that build on the success of existing lines. The Swish Side Chair, designed by EOOS, expands on the distinctive lounge model introduced at NeoCon 2024, bringing its swooping silhouette and soft, organic forms into a more compact footprint. Dais Side Chair, from Form Us With Love, translates the quiet elegance of last year’s award-winning Dais Lounge into a light and versatile seating option. Finally, the Ponder Compact Side Chair offers a streamlined addition to Keilhauer’s best-selling Ponder family, delivering the same supportive comfort and minimal design in a smaller scale for added versatility across a range of spaces.

EOOS is Gernot Bohmann, Martin Bergmann and Harald Gründl, who studied design together at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna. In 1990, they started their first collaboration and founded EOOS in 1995. They live in Vienna and work in the fields of product, furniture and architectural design.
