NEW YORK, NY — Keilhauer is pleased to announce that MiConcepts, led by partners Michelle Carlson and Jessica Hicks, has been appointed as the contract furniture manufacturer’s new representative for the New York market, marking an exciting new chapter for the brand in the region.

The appointment comes as industry veterans Alan Primason and Carol Symchik prepare for retirement after decades of service to the New York design community. To ensure a seamless transition for clients, dealers, and design partners, MiConcepts is now representing Keilhauer alongside Primason Symchik through a transition period, assuming full representation responsibilities on January 1, 2027.

For Keilhauer, the transition represents both a celebration of a longstanding partnership and the beginning of a new chapter. MiConcepts was selected for its deep relationships within the architecture and design community, its reputation for exceptional service, and its values-driven approach that closely aligns with Keilhauer’s commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and customer experience.

“Finding the right partner to carry our brand forward in New York was incredibly important,” said Meghan Sherwin, President of Keilhauer. “Michelle and Jessica have built MiConcepts on a foundation of design excellence and expertise, with a genuine commitment to their clients. Their approach mirrors the values that have guided Keilhauer for more than 40 years, making them a natural fit for our next chapter in this important market.”

Throughout the transition period, MiConcepts and Primason Symchik will work closely together to ensure continuity of service and support for the New York design community.

“Together we have curated the MiConcepts portfolio that exists today,” said Carlson and Hicks. “Aligned in the guiding principles to always be client-centric, resourceful to the community we work with, and complementary in our product portfolio to ensure continuity in the services we provide and the ultimate experience when working with us. We love what we do.”

Keilhauer extends its sincere gratitude to Alan Primason and Carol Symchik for their decades of partnership, leadership, and dedication. They have been true partners in building Keilhauer’s presence in one of North America’s most influential design markets, and their legacy will continue through the relationships and community they have established.

Keilhauer is proud to welcome MiConcepts and looks forward to working together to support the evolving needs of architects, designers, dealers, and clients throughout New York and New Jersey.
